HOMOPHOBIC abuse was scrawled across Southend in black graffiti.
Two pieces of graffiti appeared outside Westcliff Library and on Darlinghurst Grove.
One reads "Queers", with an arrow pointing towards the entrance to the library, with another reading "f**k you pride month."
Southend Pride was cancelled earlier this month.
