A PUBLIC space protection order will be in place from Sunday in Leigh, it has been confirmed.
The PSPO, which gives officers increased powers to move people on from the area, will come into affect from the first of the month.
The order also covers parts of Chalkwell, as seen below.
The PSPO comes after months of anti-social behaviour in the town, and months of campaigning from residents for tougher measures.
A stabbing in June left residents fearful, with a teenager injured in the targeted attack.
Luke Bellfield, 18, was tragically murdered in the town earlier this year.
Residents have also called for an alcohol free zone Leigh, in a response to yobs bringing booze with them to drink on the streets.
