A MAN has been arrested for assault after a "fight" in Southend.
The Essex Police Operational Support group (OSG) was on patrols in Southend and Leigh last night to ensure punters got home safely.
During the patrols, they attended reports of a fight and arrested one man.

A spokesman for the OSG said last night at 11.32pm: "We are in Leigh making sure everyone gets home safe as the pubs and bars start to close.
"We also have units in Southend who have just attended a fight and arrested a male on suspicion of assault."
