PICTURES show a police cordon in place outside a bus station in Basildon town centre.
A number of police cars, ambulance vehicles, and an air ambulance were all seen at the scene this afternoon, on the Roundacre.
The cordon surrounds a set of traffic lights, and the number 100 bus from First Buses.
The Echo is hearing reports a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
It appears a number of passers by were being interviewed by police at the scene.

Due to an incident outside Colours nightclub on Southernhay, Basildon - The road is currently closed to buses entering the bus station.
Buses will divert via Cherrydown East.
No stops will be missed but delays are expected.
Services will be returning to Basildon bus station but expect delays as services will still be unable to use southernhay east bound from the Stationway to the Bus station
