Terry Leeks murder: Appeal on Basildon fatal stab victim's birthday

Terry leeks died after being stabbed in Northlands Park on July 11.

Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of his murder and they are on bail.

Det Chief Insp Louise Metcalfe, leading the investigation, said: “Terry should have been celebrating his birthday with his family, but instead they’re grieving his death.

“We’re making good progress with our investigation but I believe there are still people out there with information about what happened who haven’t come forward yet – either to us or anonymously to Crimestoppers.

“Do it for Terry and do it for his family.”

Paying tribute to Terry, his parents said: "We’re devastated by Terry’s death and we desperately need anyone who knows what happened to him to come forwards.

"Terry was always very polite and kind-hearted, he would do anything for anyone.

"We miss him dearly and want those responsible brought to justice.

"So if you have any information about what happened, no matter how small you think it is, please, please, please come forward and report it."

Police have released CCTV footage of four people we want to identify who may be witnesses.
