A HUNT is still underway to find a final person pictured in CCTV footage near to where a man was stabbed to death.
Detectives investigating the murder of Terry Leeks in Northlands Park, Basildon are still looking to identify one person captured on CCTV near the time he was attacked.
Terry, who would have turned 47 last week, was stabbed at around 1.30am on July 11.
Sadly, he later died in hospital.
Earlier this month Essex Police released CCTV footage of a group of four people who may have information about what happened to Terry.
Police now believe they have identified three of the people in the footage but are continuing to appeal for information about the fourth person.
The footage can be viewed here.
The force are still trying to identify everyone who was in the park at the time of the incident.
Det Chief Insp Louise Metcalfe, who’s leading the investigation, said: "We know there were a number of people fishing at the lake overnight as well as other people in the park.
"We have spoken to some people but not everyone and I need anyone who was in Northlands Park in the early hours of 11 July to contact my team.
"We are making good progress with the investigation but it’s really important we’re able to identify everyone in the area that night and speak to them.
"If you were in the park, or know someone who was, please come forward."
