An arrest has been made in Southend as part of a crackdown on drug dealing
Operation Vimto was launched by Essex Police for Ambleside Drive, following a spike in illegal activity.
The operation involves an extra police presence on the road, and speaking to the women involved, who are being exploited as part of "modern day slavery."
Charities Aspirations and Hopebox Southchurch are also involved in the operation, to help the women and signpost them to qualified help.
One arrest has been made since the operation launched earlier this month.

A spokesman from Essex Police, said "Operation Vimto has been launched in Southend following reports of increases in street prostitution, drug activity and associated anti-social behaviour.
"As a result, our officers have been spending time in the Ambleside Drive area, engaging with women who may be vulnerable and being exploited.
"We're signposting the women to support services in the local area and gathering intelligence on any possible exploitation.
"One arrest has been made on the operation, after a suspicious vehicle made off from officers. A man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences, after suspicion that the car was displaying false plates."
