REPORTS have been made of a boy being hit by a car in Leigh on his way to school.
The incident is said to have happened near the roundabout of the Old Vienna estaurant on Eastwood Road this morning at 8.15am.
Reports on social media say the boy was knocked off his bike and suffered injuries including whiplash.

It is understood the car responsible for hitting the boy did not stop at the scene of the crash.
Appeals for information and CCTV footage have been made.
Reports also say that other drivers and pedestrians stopped to help the boy at the scene.
Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
