EMERGENCY services have descended onto a busy Southend road, with reports of a serious car crash.
Police and ambulance vehicles are reported to be at the scene of a crash on Victoria Avenue, near the Queensway junction.
The Echo has been informed a woman has been hit by a car.
However this has yet to be confirmed.

Traffic is building in the area, and drivers have been urged to find alternative routes.
Only one lane of Victoria Avenue remains open to drivers, with gas works taking place nearby.
Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service have both been contacted for comment.
