A MURDER probe has been launched after a woman was found dead at a residential home in Ramsden Heath.

Essex Police have arrested a 60-year-old man after officers were called to an address in Downham Road just after midnight this morning (Monday, October 11.

A woman in her 40s was found unresponsive. Paramedics were rushed to the scene where the woman was pronounced dead.

Police say her death is currently being treated as “unexplained”; a 60-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.

The force is not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
