Southend residents have been in court for a number of offences from not paying fares to harassment cases.

Alan Christie, 49, of Milbanke Close, Shoebury was in court charged with harassment without violence, between September 9 and November 5 at Rochford he pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a woman which he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her in that attempted to contact her repeatedly, sent numerous emails, attended her address and attended her mother's address with a wheelbarrow containing sex toys.
A community order made and he must do 135 hours of unpaid work.
A restraining order was made for the defendant in the following terms: Not to contact the woman directly or indirectly, Not to attend Sovereign Close, Rochford, Not to attend Southend Road, or any other address which you know she is residing or working.
He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 as well as £600 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Rashid Yousefi, 25, Locksley Close, Southend, was charged with obstructing or resisting a constable in execution of duty, on September 29 in Southend he resisted PC Ward a constable in the execution of her duty.
He's been remanded on bail until November 19 for a pre- sentence report to be prepared and the conditions include a curfew between 7pm and 5am, curfew condition to be electronically monitored, he's also not to contact directly or indirectly Jaimey-Lee Hammond and not to enter Great Wakering.
He was also charged with harassment without violence, between September 27 and 30 in Southend he pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a victim and which you knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her in that you turned up at her address two days in a row telling the victim to let you into the address aswell as calling/messaging the victim multiple times and attended the address banging and kicking at doors and windows.
He was remanded on bail until the same date with the same conditions.
The man was charged with using violence to secure entry to premises after an he used violence for the purpose of securing entry into premises, the home of a victim, knowing that there was someone present on those premises who was opposed to the said entry.
Another charge against him was using a motor vehicle on a road and or public place without third party insurance after an incident in Great Wakering.
The other matters were also adjourned until the same date with the same bail conditions.
Nathan Pringle, 32, of Westcliff Parade, Westcliff was charged with speeding - exceeding 70 mph motorway limit - manned equipment after an incident Dummer, Hampshire. He driving at speed exceeding 70 miles per hour namely 83mph.
The case has been adjourned to Christmas Eve for a non-standard reason and due to the situation regarding Covid-19.
Saanosh Kirubaharan, 21, of Carlingford Drive, Westcliff was charged failing to pay at the time and in response to an authorised officer gave a false name and or address after an incident in Gillingham. He was being a person travelling by, present on or leaving a train, namely Southeastern Railway, and having failed to produce a rail ticket or other authority when required to do so by or on behalf of an operator of that train, or any person acting on behalf of the operator, thereby making yourself liable to a penalty charge, failed to give your name and address to the authorised collector when so required.
He was fined £220, £10.90, £34, and £135.
