Four Essex fish and chip shops have been named among the best in the UK, according to a report from the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF).
They were included out of the 11 featured in the London and South East England section.
The Official Guide to the UK’s Quality Fish and Chip Shops 2021 has been published by the NFFF, along with vinegar brand Sarson's.
They are ranked based on a thorough assessment of the premises and equipment, the working practices, hygiene standards and management controls, together with, of course, the quality and taste of the fish and chips.
Catherine Martin, Brand Manager for Sarson’s said: “We congratulate all the Fish & Chip shop operators across the UK that are featured in this year’s NFFF 2021 guide!
“As the UK’s number 1 vinegar brand, we share the NFFF’s value for the culture of Fish & Chips and are delighted to support this badge of quality recognising the best Fish & Chip shops, who work tirelessly to serve one of our nation’s favourite dishes”.
