A teenage boy has been found guilty of murdering a father of four.
The jury at Chelmsford Crown Court has delivered their verdict today in relation to the death of father James Gibbons.
The jury took 14 hours and nine minutes to decide on a majority verdict with 10 agreeing and two disagreeing.
Dad James Gibbons, 34, died after being stabbed near his home in Iris Mews, Laindon on May 2. He had been holding a barbecue for his twin daughter’s birthday.
Mr Gibbon’s family cried and were clearly very emotionally – wiping away tears as the verdict was announced.

The 16-year-old boy has been standing trial accused of murdering him by stabbing him four times in the abdomen.
During the trial the jury was told Mr Gibbons attacked the teenager after a row with other youths.
