A MUM has been handed a hefty fine for allowing her son leave the house to meet friends during the lockdown.
Stacey Bell, 41, was found to have breached the coronavirus regulations by letting her son go out and socialise with three other people back on February 8.
The country remained under lockdown rules at the time, which meant gatherings between households were illegal.
Bell, of Second Avenue, Canvey, had previously been given a warning by police about letting her son leave the house to meet with friends back on January 27.
