A person was hit by a train on the railway in Essex this morning.
Lines between Colchester and Liverpool Street were closed after the incident which happened between Chelmsford and Witham.
Network Rail has confirmed the lines have now reopened.
However it said there would be major disruption expected until 11am this morning.
Tickets were being accepted on TfL Rail services between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield.

A very limited rail replacement bus service was running between Shenfield and Witham.
In a statement Network Rail said: "Lines have reopened between London Liverpool Street and Colchester following the earlier incident where a person was hit by a train.
"Trains may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled whilst service recovers.
"Major disruption is expected until 11:00."
