A stunning steam train will be taking rail enthusiasts cross country next year during a special day-trip.
Steam Dreams has announced its newest event for Southend, with a trip to Bath set for June.
The company will once again be running its luxury services that will see day-trippers travel to the historic city via steam train.
They will travel in classic train carriages such as Pullman coaches, and can pay for packages that include a champagne breakfast and evening meal.
The train will depart Shoebury at 7am and will stop at Southend East at 7.10am.
Another stop is schedule for Barking at 8.15am, before the train will then head straight to Bath where it will arrive at 12.45pm.
Daytrippers will get the chance to explore the city, including the Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge, the Abbey and Royal Crescent.
The return trip leaves Bath at 4.30pm and will get into Southend East at 10.05pm, before terminating at Shoebury at 10.15pm.
The return trip will be partially diesel hauled.
Prices for the experience start from £119, with the top price for Pullman style dining costing £284.
The trip takes place on May 19, 2022.
