As Christmas fast approaches, it is time to start thinking of how to get rid of the rubbish that accumulates over the festive period.
Many timetables for regular services, such as bin collections, sometimes amend their dates for pick ups around this time of year.
Bins will certainly not be collected on Christmas Day and Boxing Day
However, according to the Southend Borough Council website there will be no changes in collections due to the Christmas and New Year's bank holidays.
