AN MP has thanked local posties for all their hard work after his visit to the Royal Mail sorting office in Southend.
James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, visited the sorting office in Short Street on December 22.
As the workers showed him round the mail facility, he was able to talk with the posties.
James thanked them all for their hard work through the pandemic despite continued disruptions and problems that they have had to face.
The MP also handed over a bottle of House of Commons Whisky for the Royal Mail’s charity raffle.
Following his visit to the sorting office, James Duddridge said: “Our local posties have once again worked incredibly hard this year.
“That is why I wanted to take the opportunity to visit the sorting office in Short Street this morning and say thank you to them on behalf of our community, as well as wish all the Royal Mail staff a Merry Christmas.”
