A MAN in his 30s is fighting for his life after being attacked in a street.
Members of the public found the victim, a man in his 30s, had been found injured in Feenan Highway, Tilbury shortly before 9.45pm yesterday.
He was taken to hospital where he is in a life-threatening condition.
A 19 year-old man from Tilbury was arrested just after midnight today on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody.
Detective Inspector Julie Gowen, who’s leading the investigation, said: “We are working to establish the circumstances which led up to the victim becoming injured.
“Officers worked quickly, making an arrest and I do not believe the incident poses a threat to the wider public.
“We believe the victim was attacked in the area of Feenan Highway and need anyone in the area with CCTV, doorbell cameras, or dash cam to check their cameras.
“In particular between the times of 6pm and 10pm.
“If you saw or heard anything or have any information, I need you to get in contact.”
