THE full list of candidates standing in the upcoming Southend West by-election has been announced.
Voters will go to the poll on February 3 to choose Sir David Amess’s successor.
The MP was tragically killed during an incident at a constituency surgery in October.
Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party have not nominated a candidate out of respect to Sir David.

A similar gesture was made by the main political parties in the by-election triggered in 2016 following the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox.
The Conservative’s have put forward Anna Firth as their candidate, with Sir David’s wife, Julia, endorsing the selection.
The full list of candidates standing in the by-election is as follows:
- Christopher Anderson (Freedom Alliance)
- Catherine Blaiklock (English Democrats)
- Olga Childs (non-aligned)
- Ben Downton (Heritage Party)
- Anna Firth (Conservative)
- Jayda Fransen (Independent)
- Steve Laws (UKIP)
- Graham Moore (English Constitution Party)
- Jason Pilley (Psychedelic Party)
Polls will open on February 3 at 7am and close at 10pm, with the winning candidate expected to be announced the day after.
