A NEW dog-friendly restaurant is set to throw open its doors in Basildon town centre tomorrow, promising something for everyone with a full vegan menu.

Chain restaurant Orleto Lounge is set to welcome customers to its new base in East Square, Basildon, adding to its established businesses across the country.

The restaurant prides itself on its “eccentric interiors” as well as boasting a wife-ranging menu including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free items.

Basildon Council leader, Andrew Baggott, said it is always good news to have fresh businesses opening in the town centre.

He said: “It is good news as it keeps the momentum going for breathing new life into that part of the town centre.

“Hopefully it will be the catalyst for the remainder, and we look forward to residents being able to enjoy the experience.”

Bosses have a number of restaurants across the country under “The Lounges” banner, with the Basildon restaurant named “Orleto Lounge”.

The is one in Southend call the Molo Lounge and another Lakeside called the Casco.

The opening hours will be from 9am to 11pm Sunday to Wednesday and 9am till midnight from Thursday to Saturday.

The restaurant, lounge hopes to give that home from home feeling, where Basildon residents can come and either have fun with the family, or grab a coffee and use the place as an office while you work.

The Orleto Lounge website adds: “Our lounge will be a home from home.

“We exist to bring people together and we are proud of our lounge, and its community with our aim being simple: every customer leaves happy.

“Old or young, big or small – just pop along and we’ll look after you.”

The restaurant also has board games available for guest to relax and have fun as well as toys and refreshments for canine guests too.

Customers can eat-in or take away food from the huge menu available, including breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, tapas, salad and so much more.
