A key road in Wickford has been shut in both directions due to damage caused by Storm Franklin.
Strong winds have led to damage to buildings along Golden Jubilee Way this morning and forced highways bosses to shut part of the road.
It is closed in both directions between Radwinter Way and Runwell Road.

This is causing queues and congestion along Wickford High Street and Nevendon Road.
It is not yet known when the road will reopen.
Storm Franklin is set to bring winds of up to 50mph to Essex this morning, and led to the closure of several recycling centres, including in Basildon and on Canvey.
Essex Police is asking motorists to travel for essential reasons only.
