POLICE used tracking technology to find a stash of stolen vehicles that were being hidden inside shipping containers in south Essex.
Officers from the operational support group made the discovery on Friday at a yard in South Ockendon.
They had used a tracking device to locate a stolen Jaguar.
The device led them to the container yard where they found the vehicle.
A search of two containers saw officers find two more ‘high value’ cars which have been reported stolen.
Two people were arrested during the operation, with all three vehicles being returned to their rightful owners.
It is the second time this year that police have used tracking technology and found stolen vehicles stashed in shipping containers in south Essex.
Three Range Rover Sports were found at a container site in Stanford-le-Hope in February, with officers able to find one of the cars just 17 hours after it was reported stolen.
The three cars were thought to be worth around £100,000 each.
