The budget airline only announced its return to Southend in December, one month after RyanAir had ceased operations from the airport, and almost 18 months since it had quit the airport.
Faro is the third confirmed easyJet destination from Southend this summer.
Flights to Majorca and Malaga will run from the start of May until the end of October.
There will be flights to Majorca each week on Mondays, Wendesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flights to Malaga will meanwhile take place day apart from Saturdays.
The first outbound flight to Majorca is on May 1, with the first to Malaga taking place the day after.
