A man was arrested after allegedly making threats to kill at a hospital.
Armed police reported attended Southend Hospital at 10.30am today after a man was making threats to kill with a knife.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to Prittlewell Chase shortly after 10.30am today, Tuesday 29 March.

"A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody at this time.
"Our enquiries are ongoing, and we need anyone who saw anything or has dash cam footage to contact us.

A spokesman for Mid and South Essex Hospital Trust said: "No staff or patients were harmed and minimal disruption was caused, after a brief incident at Southend Hospital which police attended. Southend ED was not closed, remains open and is seeing patients as normal.
“Police are still investigating, and we have offered them our full cooperation.”
