The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind for the entirety of Essex for most of the day on Thursday, April 7.
It is in place right now and will last until around 6pm, according to the climate and weather forecaster.
The affected area as a whole takes up a large swathe of southern and middle England, including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, London, Oxfordshire and Somerset.
As a part of that the whole of Essex fits in the affected area.

A warning has been put in place by the Met Office to expect:
- Some delays to road, rail and air transport are likely
- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
In a statement the Met Office said: "Winds will strengthen across central England this morning with gusts widely 45-50 mph developing and a few places seeing gusts around 55 mph. Winds will ease from the west from later in the afternoon."
Estimated wind speeds have not been noted by the Met Office, but it is likely to be fairly low impact, according to their warning impact matrix.
