BASILDON’s much-loved ‘Spoons’ is set to be demolished and replaced with a brand new £3m pub.
Bosses confirmed the Moon on the Square will close in September ahead of plans to knock it down and replace it with hundreds of flats.
It is not know when the new site will open, but the closure of the old pub will mark the end of an era for many.
