AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a teenage boy was stabbed during a disturbance in Southend.
Officers from Essex Police were called to reports of an assault which took place in Royal Terrace, close to Pier Hill, in Southend, shortly after 6pm last night, Saturday April 16.
The police located the teenage boy and it emerged he had sustained a wound to his chest.
A spokesman for Essex Police added: "He was taken to hospital for treatment where it was established his injury is thankfully not life-threatening or life-changing.
"No arrests have been made and our enquiries are ongoing.
"We need anyone who witnessed the incident or has phone or dash cam footage of it to contact us as soon as possible.
