HOSPICE bosses are looking for golfers to join an annual charity game to raise much needed funds.
Havens Hospices’ Corporate Golf Day will return on Friday July 8 at Stock Brook Country Club, Billericay.
Over the past five years, the event has raised thousands of pounds for Havens Hospices which provides palliative nursing and supportive care to children, young people and adults living with complex or incurable conditions in the comfort of their homes or at its two hospices.
Teams of four cost £320 and the programme for the Golf Day begins with tea or coffee and a breakfast roll on arrival, followed by a fun 18-hole round of golf where teams will compete for the winner’s trophy. Once teams have completed their round of golf, they will enjoy a two course meal along with an auction and a raffle.
Another way to support the charity is for local businesses to sponsor one or more of the 18 holes on the course. An advert for the company will be displayed at each hole that they sponsor.
Lydia Plews, Business Development Manager at Havens Hospices says: “Our Corporate Golf Day event is always popular amongst local businesses and we can’t wait to welcome new and existing supporters for an enjoyable For more information on this event and to sign up a team, please email Lydia Plews at LPlews@havenshospices.org.uk
