THURROCK Council has obtained an injuction preventing protesters from blocking roads or vehicles at key fuel sites.
The authority, alongside Essex County Council, has successful applied for an injunction which protects the public highways from unlawful protests.
It means that protesters are now prohibited from blocking roads, stopping vehicles, and gluing themselves to the road or vehicles.

The injunction, which was approved on Sunday, covers the Navigator Oil Terminal in Grays, Inter Terminal UK’s site in Grays, and Thames Oilport in Stanford-Le-Hope, as well as other key fuel infrastructure sites in the borough.
This follows weeks of protests where Essex Police had arrested more than 450 protesters in Thurrock earlier this month.
This also comes a week after more than 20 people have been charged in connection with the protests.
