A NEW sushi restaurant has opened its doors to Basildon foodies with “fresh, quality, and mouth-watering” dishes.
Sushi and Bento House, along South Walk in the Basildon town centre, celebrated the opening of their new restaurant.
This is the chain’s fourth branch, with two already in south Essex.
Syed Ahmed, business development manager, said: “We are excited to open a new site as it always is.

“We are a fast-growing Japanese chain restaurant and currently already have three branches, located in Rayleigh, Dagenham and also Chadwell Heath, where we started this journey in 2018.
“We are really passionate about fresh, quality, and mouth-watering food.
“This is achieved by us making our food every time after receiving an order, so customers have all orders fresh throughout the day, which isn’t like every brand of restaurants and sushi places.
“Whether you eat early, late or at a busy period, it will always be fresh and taste the same each time.
“We are here to serve the community real Sushi and not pre-packed supermarket quality Sushi.”
Sushi and Bento House will be the only all Sushi restaurant in Basildon after opening on Monday.
They pride themselves on their hygiene, with all three other stores, being rated four or five in the Food Hygiene Rating, and they say their standards will be “no different at the Basildon branch”.
Owners are also hoping to hold a second opening day, sometime next month, for some religious communities in the area, who were unable to visit yesterday due to Ramadan.
Mr Ahmed added: “We are hoping to have another opening in a few weeks’ time as we know Basildon has Muslim communities and with Ramadan and fasting, they weren’t able to attend this opening.
“So, we are planning another day next month, as we respect every religion equally and would like to welcome all communities across Basildon into our restaurant too.”
