A MAN with two knives has been taken to a mental health hospital after threatening police officers in Southend.
Police attended an address in Southend to assist mental health professionals in escorting a patient to hospital under the mental health act.

The male had armed himself with two knives threatening officers, who ended up deploying a taser to bring an end to the situation.

He was then conveyed to a mental health hospital to receive treatment.
