Magistrates courts have seen plenty of cases involving assaults on emergency workers.

Here are the Basildon defendants who were in the court rooms for these offences.

Jason Prior, 24, of Basildon Drive, Basildon, was sentenced for attacking emergency workers.

On January 29 in Basildon he assaulted an emergency worker, namely Police Contstable, acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker.

This was withdrawn in favour of another offence.

On the same day and in Basildon he assaulted the emergency worker, namely Police Constable, acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him.

He was fined £120, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, and costs of £145 to the Crown Prosecution Service.


Conor Harvey, 24, of Long Riding, Basildon was in court charged with assaulting emergency workers.

On September 22 2020 in Basildon he assaulted an emergency worker, namely police constable, acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him.

A community order made. The defendant must comply with the following requirements by November 4: Curfew Requirement with Electronic Monitoring: Be under a curfew for six months with electronic monitoring. The start date is May 4 at 7pm and the end date is November 4 at 7am.

He was also ordered to pay compensation of £100.

On September 22 2020 in Basildon he assaulted an emergency worker, namely police constable , acting in the exercise of her functions as such a worker, by beating her.

He was handed a community order with the same requirements and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

 


Marshall Tyson, 21, of Gaywood, Basildon, was sentenced for attacking a police constable.

On April 3 in Laindon he assaulted an emergency worker, namely a police constable acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him.

He was fined £120, ordered to pay compensation of £50, pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £145 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Melanie Robertson, 28, of Butneys, Basildon, was in court in connection with assault of an emergency worker.

On October 30 2021 in Cleethorpes she assaulted an emergency worker, namely Police Officer, acting in the exercise of her functions as such a worker, by beating her.

This was withdrawn in favour of another offence.

On the same day in Cleethorpes she assaulted an emergency worker, namely police officer, acting in the exercise of her functions as such a worker.

He was discharged conditionally for 12 months, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £22, to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.


James Killingback, 25, of Wood Green, Pitsea, was in court after attacking an emergency worker.

On January 23 in London he assaulted an emergency worker, acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him.

He was fined £150, ordered to pay compensation of £50, pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.

and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

A football banning order made for 3 years and he must report to Basildon Police Station, Great Oaks, Basildon within five days of the making of this order.


Jaheim Elliott, 20, of Chestnut Road, Basildon, was in court over assaulting an emergency worker.

On Christmas Day 2020 at in the London borough of Barnet he allegedly assaulted an emergency worker, namely Police Officer , acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him This was dismissed due to no evidence being offered.

On the same day and in the location he assaulted an emergency worker, namely Police officer , acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him.

He was discharged conditionally for 12 months, ordered to pay compensation of £100.


George Saunders, 21, of Southview Road, Basildon, was in court in connection with offences against emergency workers.

On August 29 2021 in Leigh he wilfully obstructed an constable in the execution of his duty.

There was No separate penalty.

The same day and at the same location he assaulted an emergency worker, namely Police Constable , acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker, by beating him.

He was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months and was ordered to pay compensation of £100, a surcharge to fund victim services of £128 and costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

On the same day in Southend he assaulted an emergency worker, namely Police Constable, acting in the exercise of his functions as such a worker.

There was no separate penalty.

On the same day in Leigh in a public place, namely Broadway West, he was guilty, while drunk, of disorderly behaviour.

There was no separate penalty.
