SOUTHEND Council is warning of changes to bin collections this coming week due to the long bank holiday weekend.
The jubilee celebrations taking place between Thursday and Sunday mean residents who have their waste collected during these days will be affected.
Anyone whose rubbish is collected on Thursdays will now have their waste collected on Saturday.
Those whose rubbish is taken on Fridays will instead have it taken on Monday, June 6.
Council bosses added: “All other collections will remain as normal.
“Please make sure you put your recycling and waste out by 7am on your collection day.”

Rochford Council meanwhile says there will be no changes to its collection services despite the bank holidays.
Residents are asked to leave their waste outside as normal from 7am.
A spokesman said: “We would like to remind residents that putting up bunting across some roads and attached to electric poles has the potential to cause damage to our dustcarts as well as other large vehicles, as it could get wrapped around parts of the vehicle and cause damage to the light poles and/or vehicles. “We have a duty to maintain the safety of the public and our staff so respectfully request that any decorations which are put up remain on the same side of the road so they do not cross in the path of vehicles.”
