Images show the scene after a serious crash has shut the A127, with the air ambulance landing nearby.
The road is shut at Cuckoo Corner and the junction with Victoria Avenue following the incident earlier this afternoon.
A car and a bike were involved in the crash and police say the biker is in a life threatening condition. Officers are also advising the road will be shut for several hours.
Police were called at around 2pm today at the crash at the busy junction. Images show the air ambulance leaving Priory Park and various emergency services vehicles at the junction of the A127.

Police have confirmed the eastbound carriageway in Southend is shut after a serious crash.
Officers are warning the closure will remain in place throughout the evening rush hour and are urging drivers to avoid the area.
Traffic is building in the surrounding roads with gridlock developing around the area following the crash.
Arriva is warning passengers several of its services are impacted by the closure on the A127, as well as congestion on surrounding roads.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "The crash involved a car and a bicycle. The cyclist has been taken to hospital in a life threatening condition.
"The eastbound A127 is closed at the junctions with Priory Crescent and Manners Way and is likely to remain closed for several hours. We would advise motorists to avoid the area if possible."
