A musical group for people with disabilities auditioned for Britain's Got Talent.

Members of The Music Man Project which includes south Essex singers and musicians with disabilities put on a show for the judges at the London Palladium but were not featured on the show despite getting support from the judges.

The group put on a performance of Music is Magic and it received a standing ovation from the audience and from the celebrity panel of judges.

A spokesman said: "We are proud to reveal that last January, The Music Man Project charity was invited to audition for Britain's Got Talent at the London Palladium.

"Our rousing performance of Music is Magic received a standing ovation from the audience and from the celebrity panel of judges. We got the maximum, four yes votes and Simon Cowell described us as "like drinking a glass of happiness" in his feedback.

"Despite this, and being shown under the "coming soon section" of the show, our spectacular audition was sadly not shown on TV and we have only just been allowed to share our excting news.

"Our audition featured The Music Man Project UK Student Ambassadors and the children and adults of The Music Man Project Essex. Well done to everyone who took part."
