New images of a south Essex railway station set to be revamped have been released, giving residents a sneak peak of what's to come.
During Stanford-le-Hope Station's major upgrade, the old footbridge will be removed and a modern replacement installed to provide direct and step-free access from the entrance.
New lifts will also ensure all passengers are able to move freely within the station.
Platform One will be widened to ease overcrowding during peak hours and to further improve passenger safety.

Mark Coxshall, cabinet member for regeneration and external affairs, said: "The major redevelopment of Stanford-le-Hope railway station is now moving at pace, and I am delighted that residents will soon see spades hitting the ground.
"The new fit-for-purpose station will provide a high-quality experience for passengers that will be accessible and safe.
"It will be a huge improvement on the look and feel of the local area and we are determined to get the job done for the residents of Stanford-le-Hope, Corringham, Fobbing and Horndon on the Hill, as we continue to build the right infrastructure in the right places to support our residents and local businesses."
Thurrock Council is working closely with partners AECOM and VolkerFitzpatrick to ensure the new station can support a world class service.
Shadi Shekarrizi, AECOM's rail director, says they will be looking into off-site construction methods to reduce the time required on site, and the amount of disruption.

Architect Erik Behrens, AECOM's design practice director, added: "The new station will not only enhance all passenger experiences and safety, it will furthermore create a new gateway and communal space which holds the potential of becoming a catalyst for future developments in its surroundings."
Bosses have promised a "collaborative and methodical approach" will ensure disruption is kept to a minimum and progress is made safely and swiftly.
Construction works are set to start later this year with the site establishment and clearance due to commence soon.
