CANDIAN fast food giant Tim Hortons has submitted plans to for a branch in Basildon.
Food loves can look forward to great coffee, donuts, burgers and fries, without having to drive to Braintree where the closes current branch opened last year..
“It’s fantastic news for the town that these large global brands are looking to invest in Basildon and see us as a good location for new business,” councillor Craig Rimmer, responsible for regeneration, said.
It is early days as of yet, with few details released, but here we compile everything we know so far about the Basildon restaurant...
What we know:
- It will be in in Miles Gray Road,adjacent to the Pippis Hill Retail Park and opposite the new St Hilary Retail Park
- The development will see the demolition of the existing Burger Brats restaurant which closed last year.
- The new restaurant will feature 158 square meter indoor eating space, but will primarily operate as a drive thru.
- A series of red boards with menus for drivers to order from will be erected.
- It will feature a small carpark.
- It will be the 62nd Tim Hortons in the UK.
- The nearest open Tim Hortons branch is in Braintree.
