A man has died after police were called to concerns for welfare at a town centre tower block.
Officers were called to the incident at Brooke House in Basildon Town Centre at 12.10am on Saturday.
Residents posted on Facebook about an incident at the high rise block in the town centre.
Police say his death is being treated as unexplained.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called following concerns for the welfare of a man in Town Square, Basildon, at 12.10am on Saturday 4 June. Sadly, the man died.
"His death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
East of England Ambulance Service and Basildon Council have been contacted for comment.
