CHILDREN danced the jive at West Leigh Infant and Junior Schools for their for Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
During the morning all children created a special jubilee hat and decorated a cupcake in patriotic colours.
The children at Porters Grange Primary School and Nursery, in Southend, dressed in red, white and blue. The celebrations were capped by a superb performance from the Porters Grange Dance Troupe fresh off their appearance at the Southend Dance Festival.
βIt was a great day and even the sun came out to celebrate,β said vice principal, Mr Aggus.
"The whole school came together at FriarsPrimary School and Nursery in Shoeburyness with a magnificent street party out on the playground at lunchtime.
Each class at Hamstel Infant School and nursery in Southend had a Victoria sponge to decorate and they created a Jubilee garden to mark the occasion and as a lasting legacy of the special day
