TWO people were attacked while queueing at a McDonald's drive-thru in Essex.
Detectives say the victims, a man and woman, were sat in their car when the assault happened.
Another man and woman are said to have got out of their white Ford Transit before approaching the victims, who were sat in a white Suzuki Swift.
They were then both attacked inside the car.
The motive behind the assault is not yet known.
A police spokesman said: "Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to get in touch."

The incident happened around 3.10pm on Thursday, June 23, at the McDonald's restaurant just off the M11 in London Road near Harlow.
