Southend has been revealed as the third-most expensive city in the UK to get an Uber, according to new research.
Research was conducted by NetCredit who calculated the average cost of a 10km Uber trip in UK cities where Uber operates.
They noted that there was often quite a big disparity throughout the UK, even between neighbouring cities such as Liverpool and Manchester.

In the end Southend ranked third on the list with an average fare per 10km costing £16.19.
This was only beaten out by Liverpool, who had an average fare of £17.17, and the capital city London, which was far more expensive at an average of £20.50 for the same distance.
Uber has had its fair share of controversy over the last decade, including when it was briefly banned in London due to breaking regulations about personal safety.
It was also criticised last month for surge charging in London when the June rail strikes took place.
They were hit with a surge in prices with a three-mile journey from Paddington to King’s Cross estimated to cost £19 just after midday – down from £27 at 8.45am.
