A restaurant in Billericay has released important information for its customers after a major fire at the venue today.
Residents in Laindon Road in Billericay were urged to shut their windows and remain indoors after a fire broke out at Reids.
A police cordon was in place in the road as it was closed in both directions.

A spokesman for Reids said: "Reids Venue has had a major fire today.
"The extent of the damage is unclear at the moment.
"A member of staff will be contacting all parties that have booked to let them know in due course if their party will be able to go ahead."
"Thank you for your understanding and co-operation."
Eight fire crews and an aerial ladder platform were in attendance.
Essex Fire and Rescue says, as of 7.30pm, the fire is extinguished and crews are checking for hotspots.
There is likely to be smoke in the area for some time so residents are advised to keep their doors and windows closed if possible.
Part of Laindon Road is also likely to be closed into the evening.
