A man who choked on something as he celebrated his wedding anniversary was rescued by Southend community service officers.
A community service team came across a man in Leigh celebrating his wedding anniversarty on Tuesday night (July 26).

Last night a CSO team came across a male in Leigh celebrating his wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, he was choking on something but he was fortunate the team were passing at that point and managed to dislodge the item. 1 x very grateful man #CSOonSea pic.twitter.com/4HwExVOlkU

Unfortunately, he was choking on something but he was fortunate the team were passing at that point.
The team managed to dislodge the item.
Safer Southend said on its Twitter the man was "very grateful".
