HERE is a round up of some of the road closures planned in south Essex.
1. Croft Road, South Benfleet:
It is scheduled to be closed from August 23 for eight days.
Croft Road will be closed from a point approximately 30m east of its junction with Croft Close for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction.
The reason for the closure is for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Network.
An alternative route is available via London Road, High Road and vice versa with access only into New Park Road and Croft Road.
2. Dry Street, Langdon Hills:
This road is scheduled to be closed on August 23 for one day.
Dry Street will be closed from a point approximately 60m southwest of its junction with Dixon Road for a distance of approximately 370m in a southwesterly direction.
The reason for the closure is for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Dry Street, Nether Mayne, Fobbing, Farm Roundabout, Roundacre New Roundabout, Laindon Link, Laindon Link Roundabout, Staneway, High Road and vice vera.
3. Elmsleigh Drive, Leigh:
It is scheduled to be closed from 09:30am until 3:30pm on August 15.
The road will be shut on Elmsleigh Drive between its junctions of Blenheim Chase to Woodleigh Avenue.
The reason for the closure is for the safety of the public and workforce whilst manhole cover replacements take place.
The alternative route will be via Blenheim Chase, Eastwood Road North, and Elmsleigh Drive and vice versa.
4. Church Road, Vange:
The road is scheduled to be closed on August 28 for one night from 11pm to 11:59pm.
It will be shut from a point approximately 50m northwest of its junction with Osbourne Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north-westerly direction.
The reason for the closure is for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge examination works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Church Road, Clay High Road, Timberlog Lane, Mopsies Roundabout, Broadmayne, Broadmayne Roundabout, and vice versa.
5. Vowler Road, Langdon Hills:
It is scheduled to be closed from August 23 for eight days.
Vowler Road will be closed from a point approximately 190m west of its junction with High Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction.
The reason for closure is for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Vowler Road, Berry Lane, Emanuel Road, High Road, and vice versa.
