Basildon star Denise Van Outen visited a top south Essex seafront hotel and had high praise for the business.

The star of stage and screen popped to the Roslin Beach Hotel in Thorpe Bay for a meal for described as "fabulous."

She has found love again with Jimmy Barba following her split from Eddie Boxshall and shared a snap of the pair at the hotel.

Posting on Instagram she said: "Fabulous meal at Roslin Beach Hotel Thorpe Bay Essex. The food,service and setting is superb. Love it here."

It comes after she was tipped to join this year's I'm A Celebrity as it will be back in the Australian jungle.

William Hill has added Denise Van Outen to their I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here market, pricing her at 7-1 to be a contestant on this year’s series.

After two years, the TV show is making a return to its inaugural Australian jungle, where celebs will battle it out for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle.

Speculation is rife as to who will enter the jungle this year, as presenters Ant and Dec spoke on Heart Radio on their excitement to return: "The plan is, we're going back to Australia, we don't want to go elsewhere.
