POLICE probe into a sexual assault after teenage girl was “followed” and “touched inappropriately” during broad daylight.
It was reported a girl had been walking along Main Road, Hockley, when a man approached her, made inappropriate comments, and touched her inappropriately.
The incident occurred on August 11, at around 2pm.
Officers have recorded the incident as a sexual assault and appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

A spokesman for Essex Police added: “We received a report at around 5.55pm on 11 August that a teenage girl had been sexually assaulted in Hockley.
“It was reported the girl had been walking along Main Road between 2pm and 2.10pm on the same day when a man approached her, made inappropriate comments, and touched her inappropriately.
“We have recorded the incident as a sexual assault.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
“Please quote the crime reference number 42/211242/22.”
