A much-loved pub has reopened its doors after an impressive £300,000 revamp.
Following a £300,000 investment by independent pub operator Punch Pubs and Co, the Ship has reopened its doors with management partner Jasmine Marshall (pictured above) taking the reins.
The West Hanningfield pub has been "lavishly rejuvenated" by Punch, the operator says, undergoing a complete internal and external refurbishment.
During its six-week transformation, works at the Ship included a restyle of its interiors, enhancing the architecture, natural charms, and traditional features on show.
Externally, no expense has been spared in making the most of the pub's expansive outdoor space and green.
Accessorised with plentiful, contemporary outdoor seating and a specialist outdoor bar and pizza oven, guests can enjoy the scenic surroundings and sample some of the new food and drinks offered on the pub's menu.
There’s also an array of luxe finishing touches including a banqueting table set amongst the trees, adding to the garden's enchanting atmosphere.
Experienced management partner Jasmine began her journey at the Ship in July 2020.
Re-opening and then navigating between two lockdowns wasn’t easy, but Jasmine’s belief and motivation to transform the pub saw the Ship’s sales soar.
With the pandemic now a distant memory, she’s excited to use this investment to deliver the perfect countryside pub experience to her guests.
Jasmine said: "This pub is a real village landmark, and I’m so excited to start the next chapter and for guests to enjoy their new-look pub.
"The new menu is simply stunning, full of decadent new dishes and fantastic drinks. It's everything the community and guests have been waiting for.
"Aside from the great food and drinks, I’m particularly proud of the garden – it needs to be seen to be believed, it’s gorgeous."
Punch senior operations manager Sarah Edmunds says: "We're really excited and proud to reopen the Ship.
"The investment really has turned a beautiful pub into an absolutely stunning one; that I’m sure that not only the local community but visitors to the area will enjoy for many years to come.
"Management partner, Jasmine, has an endless amount of passion and experience at the Ship – I couldn’t think of anyone better to showcase all this pub has to offer."
