GIVING kids the chance to express themselves, Sketchy Kids Art Club makes creativity fun.
Based in Chalkwell at Metal Art School, it is set to launch at Hub 151 in Shoebury in September.
Sessions also run in various locations including Indirock in Southend, for school holiday art clubs.
Children aged six to 11 are welcome for guided fun sessions. They also cater to children who are neurodiverse and run small supportive sessions.
Term time sessions are drop off only, holiday art clubs and workshops offer drop off and adult and child sessions.
Farida Kamruddin, who runs Sketchy Kids, said: “Often the children will tell me how much they love Sketchy Kids Art Club, the relaxed and friendly environment, the freedom to create the art or craft, and how they want to do it in their own unique style, is empowering and freeing.
“Parents tell me that their children are lighter, happier, relaxed and full of creative ideas when they return home after an art club session. I see the children gain confidence with each session and enjoy the smiles when they realise they have created a beautiful piece of personal art. We also talk a lot about school, their own personal creative projects and about art in general, the children feel they have a voice and are free to express themselves at Sketchy Kids.”
Farida and Kerry Conwayrunart and meditation retreats. The next one is September 11,from 1 to 4pm in Leigh. See www.sketchyselfcare.com/sketchysisters.
