THE Red Arrows are set to roar into Southend today as the Royal Air Force display team uses Southend Airport as a base across the weekend.
Residents will be able to get a glimpse of the famous Red Arrows as they fly into the airport before making several trips in and out of the city across the weekend.
The announcement has sparked excitement among residents who will be peering out their windows and looking into the sky to spot the aircrafts in their traditional formation.
So here's when you can see them:
According to the airport's expected schedule, the planes are due to arrive at Southend at 5.01pm today, before taking off to head to the Eastbourne Airshow at approximately 4.17pm on Saturday.
The Red Arrows will then make their return back to Southend Airport around an hour later at approximately 5.02pm on Saturday evening.
On Sunday, the aircraft will leave Southend at 1.36pm, before returning at 2.21pm, leaving again at 4.50pm and arriving back at 5.34pm before finally leaving at 7.45pm, giving residents five chances to catch a glimpse on the day.
Excited residents can park at Viscount House to see the aircraft up close as they land.
St Laurence Park is also noted as another good spot to see the iconic planes across the weekend.

Residents are reminded it will be very busy this weekend, therefore those travelling by car are asked to park respectfully.
Eastbourne Airshow will take place until Sunday. It is expected to attract huge crowds, with it to boast a two-mile flying display line along Eastbourne seafront.
The display is set to include the RAF Red Arrows, RAF Typhoon, and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
